馃悕 REPTILES 馃悐 and Spelling


Hi children and families!
Take 5 minutes to do the daily routine and then we are going to start with Natural Science. Firstly, I would like to review mammals because it is the only group of vertebrates that are viviparous, remember they are born from mummies' womb and drink mummies' milk. Here you have a page to resume the most important characteristics and you only have to trace over some words.

So, we are mammals and remember dolphins and whales are also mammals but they live in water. Ok!, last Tuesday we were talking about fish that is the biggest group of vertebrates. Fish and the rest of the vertebrates groups are oviparous, they come from eggs 馃馃悾.  Here you have a mind map about it.





Today we are going to introduce the Reptiles. They are amazing animals, watch this video about them:


Awesome animals, right! Print this worksheet, find the words about the topic and draw your favourite reptile on the back of the sheet (the other side of the paper). Colour it and write its name.

We are going to start doing a spelling activity. Open your book on page 112 and write the words in the correct space, then find the adjectives and write them in the boxes below. 


So, what are the describing words (adjectives)?
Happy 馃榿,  Round ◯ and small.   Great job!
Can you play with your family to spell the words, like in class? Do you remember it? 
Example: 
You: How do you spell Cat?
Mom/Dad/Sister/Brother: Cat, C-A-T.
Mom/Dad/Sister/Brother: How do you spell Pet?
You: Pet, P-E-T.
You: How do you spell happy?
Mom/Dad/Sister/Brother: Happy, H-A-P-P-Y.
Mom/Dad/Sister/Brother: How do you spell mother?
You: Mother, M-O-T-H-E-R.

Now go to page 116, 

Take a minute to memorize the words in the pink box and go to the homeschooling page and complete the last dictation (track 35).



When you finish correct yourself with a green crayon checking the words on page 116.

How to make your Windmill and review about water馃毎 and air馃尙

Good morning children! Today we are going to review what we have learnt about air and water. Do you remember what is wind? Could you say the three states of water? And where you can find fresh water and salt water? Let's start answering these questions? Now you can answer the questions orally.
